Fresh Off a 10 Year Bid LA Artist Elmo Jackson Makes His HHW Debut

HHW: Introduce yourself to our readers, let them know your name and where you’re from

Elmo: Yea I go by the name Elmo Jackson but most people just call me Elmo and I’m from Los Angeles The Crenshaw District to be exact

HHW: Why did you start to do music? 

Elmo: I started to do music really just to keep me sane while I was behind bars, then some of the music I was making , niggas was saying was dope so I decided to go harder with it. 

HHW: When did you know that it was actually going to be your career? 

Elmo: I knew once I recorded my first song and just hearing the way I sounded I’m like yeah, this what I want to do. 

HHW: If you could get advice from any artist in the industry, who would it be and why? 

Elmo: I would get advice from the late Nipsey Hussle(RIP) because he did a lot of great things in the music industry. From a Business mindset, from inspiring the youth and giving back to the community. 

HHW: What or who influences your music? 

Elmo: My struggle and the pain I’ve been through in life. 

HHW: Has anyone helped you or guided you in getting your foot in the industry?

Elmo: I have to say my boy AD help me a lot and give me good advice. Could call on him anytime. 

HHW: Have you ever released an album? 

Elmo: No but I’m working on my mixtape now 

HHW: What differentiates you from other artists?

Elmo: I really lived that jail life a lot of these niggas talk about in their lyrics. They might did 3-6 months but I did 10 years on all level 4yards

HHW: Are you currently on any tours or have any future shows booked? 

Elmo: I started my Thru Da Land high school tour where ima be going around different high schools performing and have a lot of special guests that’s going to pop out with me.

HHW: What do you hope to get out of your involvement in the music industry?
