EZ Papi follows up his 2019 project, Trapped Emotions, with another certified classic album, Trapped Emotions 2, which features his “unique mixture of Afro-pop mixed with Caribbean music,” that is sure to astound and move anyone. He has a unique style that combines Afrobeat, Reggaeton, and Dancehall into one — making for an artist who is independently paving his own lane.
His latest release, Trapped Emotions 2, is introspective, as he tries to guide his love life and figure out what he needs in a relationship. Yet juxtaposed, EZ Papi’s seven-track project is full of poppy and upbeat sounds, as it has flairs of afro-pop and Caribbean music, making for an instant vibe from the drums to the strings on the album. EZ sonically sets up a vibe for the entire project.
Trapped Emotions 2, start to finish, is a certified hit. The project features EZ’s unique sound and flair as he graces the track leaving nothing behind, creating vulnerable and ethereal ballads. As he delivers a heartfelt project, letting his listeners know “they are not the only ones going through emotional roller coasters in life.”
EZ’s project is full of “fire,” as heard in his “Spanish Nights,” where he pays homage to Santana’s “Maria Maria,” where enticed and lustful after his encounter with “Maria, Maria.”
Other ballads such as “Boricua Morena,” “Deserve Me,” continue to be standouts on the project. “Get Low,” which features a visual also showcases EZ Papi’s lyricism and tenacity as an artist.
Trapped Emotions 2 is some of EZ’s most refined work as EZ delivers countless hits as he showcases his versatility, passion, and love throughout the entire album.
