With traffic building back up in Los Angeles it only seems fit that new talent is emerging and eager to give the streets something to ride out to! South Central native, rapper T.F is one of those people and I got the chance to sit down with him to talk about his new music, plus get a little insight into his mindset when creating the project.
T.F isn’t actually new to this industry as I alluded to in my intro, but it rhymed so I kept it! He’s actually been releasing music for a couple of years now but this new project “Skanless Summers’ is just a different vibe from his latest project because it’s all about storytelling. I mean, most music is about telling a story, but, according to T.F. this project is:
“Something you listen to and ride to late night, early morning. Picture yourself in a movie and you’ll feel the vibe, you’ll feel what I’m trying to do. The picture I’m trying to paint. If I could explain color to the blind it would be ‘Skanless Summers’.”
It took about 8 months to produce and release this project. The L.A. native said the goal for this 10 track experience was for his fans, old and new, to get to experience 10 different pieces of his world. Each song on the track list tells a different story, represents a different part of his struggle, or victory.
According to T.F the two breakout singles on the full length project “Michael Meyers” & “Spray” helped set the mood for the project. Both being songs that tell vivid stories for their audience. I don’t want to go too deep into the stories that are being told because I want you to grab something to sip on and experience this project for yourself. The project was produced by powerhouse producers Local Astronauts.
