Introduce yourself to our readers! Let them know your name, where you’re from & the name of the project you dropped!

My name is Fazezo. I was born in East New York, Brooklyn – currently living in Atlanta Georgia. The name of my new single is “DEAD IT”. Out now on all platforms!

Fazezo, on May 8th you debuted your newest single entitled DEAD IT. Even before you officially dropped this track the fans were pre-ordering and hyped for some new music from you. Why do you think the fans love this track so much?

I think the fans love the track because it shows my style of drill and it reps where I’m from and it something the fans can get jiggy with. LISTEN TO THE SONG BELOW!

The cover art for DEAD IT is interesting. There’s a black and white image of you blended into the background and handwritten graffiti. I know you put a lot of thought into what you create so I can only assume there has to be some meaning behind the art work.

I have an artist that created it for me -not really a subliminal message in the artwork. Shout out my boy @by__jack.

Fazezo, as an Independent artist you’re very hands on with every aspect of your career. You’re not just a rapper- you also write, engineer, shoot and edit your own music videos and even do your own marketing. With your latest project DEAD IT, what role did you play in the creation process?

The roles I played in is I wrote the track, recorded the track, I engineered and produced my own vocals. Mastered it and shot and edited my own video. I do my own marketing and promotions so im not your average independent artist.

Speaking of music videos, do you have any plans for the music video to this song? Without spilling all your secrets, what can the fans expect from this video?

Yes I plan on shooting the video for DEAD IT with high energy good scenes and shots. And I’m going to come with something different that the fans will be amazed with.

Ok Fazezo, the thing that makes you the wildcard as an artist is that you are versatile and unpredictable as a creator. You haven’t boxed yourself into just one sound or one genre. You’re experimental. Your new single DEAD IT is actually a Drill track. They fans really seem to love you in the Drill lane. So- Can we expect to hear more Drill music from you in the future?

Yes expect more drill but will be dabbling in other genres and creating more versatile tracks. I will be dropping a lot of music in the near future. Lots of surprises in store.

So you know I’m a lyric lover! On DEAD IT you say:

I’m Flossy/ Tell my Goonies Get them Haters off me/ I’m So Brooklyn/ When I walk through got them shook man.

Are the lyrics based on a true story?

It’s based on facts not really a certain situation just in general speaking how I move being East NY Brooklyn had a lot to do with it.

Why did you name this track DEAD IT? Is there a subliminal meaning behind the song name?

Yeah I dead any situation that’s not helping me move forward or elevate. No matter the circumstances.

You talk about your Ghunies a lot. Who or what are your Ghunies?

Ghunies is something me and my family and friends put together as a clique. Making music and always having eachother.

How did you get the name Fazezo? Did someone give it to you?

First I came up with the name faze as a nickname/rapname. Living in Mongomery AL my cousin pazo used to call me Zo so I threw that on the end of faze and that’s how it became Fazezo

Like we mentioned earlier, you are Brooklyn Born- now ATL living. As a native New Yorker , What’s something that you miss about Brooklyn now that you are gone and what’s something that you discovered that love about Atlanta?

I really miss the city the pizza the chop cheese and all my ghunies that’s out there. Atlanta I love the sceneries , the fact that you get city/country.

Now that you have officially released DEAD IT and you’re enjoying your success, Fazezo what can we expect next from you?

A lot more music a lot more content and elevation. My next steps are going to bring me more stardom and a lot more features from upcoming artist like myself.
