To no surprise, HBO and Netflix go head-to-head in competing for nominations as the Emmys roll around. But, it’s looking like HBO is coming out on top in 2022!
In recent news, The TV Academy announced that Drake was amongst the Emmy-nominated names in the pool of producers within the series and specials categories. The Honestly, Nevermind musically inclined mastermind is a first-time Emmy nominee for his work as an executive producer on HBO’s Euphoria, alongside fellow EPs Adele “Future” Nur and the quadruple-nominated Zendaya. In fact, Zendaya,is now officially the youngest woman ever nominated for producing at the Emmys, as well as the youngest two-time lead acting nominee who is also nominated for lead actress in a drama and two original songs.
Euphoria’s second season premiered in 2022, and it is currently up for 15 Primetime Emmy and Creative Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for Sydney Sweeney.
