According to TMZ on Thursday (January 7), Dr. Dre has agreed to give his wife $2 million in temporary spousal support following a divorce complaint filed by his wife, Nicole Young in June 2020.
After suffering from a brain aneurysm on Monday (January 3) and being hospitalized, Dre signed the agreement from his hospital bed.
Dr Dre also kept fans in the know about his health status, by posting from his Instagram account on Wednesday.
“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes,” he wrote. “I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One love!”
Dre and Young signed a prenuptial agreement in 1996 and the divorce proceedings are still underway.
