Doja Cat is stepping up! On Friday, the rapper revealed that she donated $100,000 to the justice fund for Breonna Taylor, a Black woman who was shot and killed in her home by police in Louisville, Kentucky during a police raid on the wrong house. June 5th would’ve been Breonna’s 27th birthday.

While her killers haven’t been charged or arrested, the public and many celebrities are demanding justice for Breonna Taylor. Some have taken to social media to show their support, including Doja, who is also urging her fans to do the same.

“I am donating $100,000 to Justice For Breonna Taylor Fund #BIRTHDAYFORBREONNA and I am inviting you all to honor and celebrate her with me by donating whatever you can and signing her petition – the link is in my bio,” Doja wrote on her Instagram. “I’m urging all my friends, family, fans, and colleagues to please donate whatever you can to her cause and to ALL the foundations that are helping us bring justice and demand change! We are all in this together and together is the ONLY way to demand change for a better world.”

A number of artists and record labels have been donating large amounts of money towards numerous causes and just last week, several rappers sent money to bail out funds to help free demonstrators arrested during these protests.
