DJK drops his new single “No Pretend” already hitting 200k streams on multiple platforms. The release comes from his EP Stay Out The Way, which dropped last November. The hip-hop artist describes his sound as “rocked out combining hard hitting raps and melodies with dope production”. His song “No Pretend” is a polished and indulgent tune, that any music lover will vibe too.

DJK was born in Texas, Tyler but has since lived in Louisiana, Dallas, New Jersey and East Texas. Having access to these different places gave DJK more diversity when creating his sound. Recording his first EP in 2013 titled “DJK Is The Future”, the release showed off his skillful lyricism and ear for bold yet polished tunes. He then followed up with 11 other mix-tapes all of which show his growth as an artist. Compared to artist like G-Herbo, 50 Cent, T.I and even Kirko Bangz DJK isn’t afraid to change up his delivery. Also heavily influenced by Prince, he taps into his creative mind removing any limitations when thinking outside of the box.

DJK is an independent artist, working with his brothers and mother under their independent label “Fast Entertainment”. Together they have helped build a brand for DJK that continues to evolve and inspire. With an impressive performance list including SXSW in 2017, 2018 and earlier this year in 2022, DJK continues to reach people all over with his passionate sound. DJK is an artist that want’s his music to leave a lasting impact. With a sound that resonates with both the younger and older generation, DJK has already become a trail blazer in the hip-hop world.

DJK’s single No Pretend isn’t the only fire visual he’s put out. Other videos like Compare, Lil Bit Mo and White Lows all have views over 100k on YouTube. With a new album in the works, DJK isn’t showing any signs of slowing down this year.
