
Def Jam Recordings founded in 1985 has showcased high caliber artists for the past four decades. The well-respected, iconic label presented an event in honor of Women’s history month called The Women Of Def Jam. The event held at Lucid Motors Beverly Hills honored the iconic female artists of Def Jam past and present, as well as the label’s entire women executive team and staff.
Coco Jones, star of Peacock’s hit series Bel Air and new signee of Def Jam delivered an epic performance of her latest single “Caliber” after remarks from Def Jam chairman and CEO Tunji Balogun. Kaash Paige, Kendra Jae, DaniLeigh, Pap Chanel, Nevaeh Jolie and Ilham were also in attendance. DJ Rosegold provided the sounds of the night spinning music from Def Jam’s large catalogue of hits.
In proud celebration of its accomplishments, THE WOMEN OF DEF JAM, a 24-track compilation showcasing some of the greatest female artists in the label’s history was released to all platforms on March 18th. Available as a collector’s edition of triple-LP box set, the anthology features multi- platinum-selling and Grammy award winning artists, from Nikki D., Foxy Brown, Boss, and Ashanti, to Amerie, Teyana Taylor, Alessia Cara, Rapsody, Jhené Aiko, and more.
