Charlamagne Tha God launches the “Black Effect Podcast Network” in partnership with iHeartMedia. However, this is a game-changer considering that this new platform is going to target Black audiences specifically.

According to BET, “The Black Effect Podcast Network is positioned to become the world’s largest podcast publisher dedicated to Black listeners, bringing together the most influential and trusted voices in black culture for stimulating conversations around social justice, pop culture, sports, mental health, news, comedy and more.”

The Black Effect Podcast Network is bringing on “The 85 South Show” with Karlous Miller, DC YoungFly, and Chico Bean; “Whoreible Decisions” with MandiiB and Weezy! If you haven’t heard these voices already, you need to get ready! The network will be debuting 18 podcasts this fall on iHeart Radio, and everywhere podcasts are available.

“Our goal is to shift the narrative from Black creators signings transactional deals to instead forming legacy partnerships the build generational wealth while allowing each creative to have an equitable stake in their future.”

iHeartMedia’s chairman and chief executive office, Bob Pittman, shared with CNN that despite ideas for the Black Effect Podcast Network came before the current racial injustice protests, this is the best time to now launch it.

“What we’ve all been hit in the face with in the past few months I think had a very important and profound impact,” Pittman shared. “I think everyone who cares about society and cares about our neighbors and our fellow humans was looking for what can I do to contribute? And although this was certainly on the path for us, we all feel really good about it as a company.”
