“Said little bitch, you can’t fuck with me, if you wanted to / These expensive, these is red bottoms / These is bloody shoes”
“Bodak Yellow” is officially certified diamond according to the Recording Industry Association of America. The song came out back in 2018 and is still thriving. This is a major accomplishment for Cardi B. The Bronx native is the first female rapper to have a certified diamond record.
Cardi B made sure to thank her fans on Instagram yesterday for all of their support. Her caption stated “How it started ,How’s its going .Thank you every1 that send me beautiful congrats on Bodak going Diamond. A couple of years ago I didn’t even understand what going diamond means or meant I just wanted to win and break in.This record changed my life.Thank you everyone who showed Bodak so much support and support and buy till THIS DAYY !! That’s why it went diamond cause of the support YOU still give. Wap is a spicy one shorty 5X platinum in 7 months makes me really happy cause I put this song out when I was doubting myself then most. Cardi B is no stranger to such accomplishments. Her debut album Invasion Of Privacy went gold in less than 24 hours. The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart. Her most controversial song “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion is now 5x Platinum.
While Cardi B celebrates her accomplishment, she is also preparing for the Grammy awards. Earlier this week, she announced that she would be performing this Sunday [March 14].
