Women in media continue to dominate over their male counterparts. Brionna Taylor is another powerful woman who is reclaiming her talents and utilizing her skills as a multimedia journalist and talk show host of “E-Koh”.
Taylor has written for ESPN, AfroPunk, Okayplayer, D Magazine, Ozy, World Boxing News, JBA League, etc. The 25-year-old has established herself as a not only a music journalist since her undergrad years with groundbreaking exclusive stories. Among those features, her stories have been placed in magazines displayed in Barnes & Noble, popular newsstands, Kroger, and CVS.
In addition to working as a photographer for the Dallas Cowboys, Brionna has worked with top Hollywood talent and companies including Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Guy Torry, Floyd Norman (Top Disney Animator), and Floyd Mayweather’s TMT Crew. In 2018, she launched and created her own talk show ‘E-Koh (pronounced echo). The show aims to help bridge the gap between celebrities, rising talents, and locals.
Taylor used her platform to shed light on those who do not receive media attention that they deserve. Her show has featured various public figures such as legendary comedian Guy Torry, Floyd Mayweather’s Bodyguards, Justin “Guitarslayer” Lyons the first Black K-Pop Sensation, Multiple Grammy Award Winning producers, and more.
Brionna has not redirected her show, E-Koh, into a different direction by hobbling entrepreneurs and redefine the stereotypes the media has placed on minorities. Through her career in multimedia storytelling, Brionna has made it her mission to expose her generation to true journalism and storytelling in a fun and modern way.
