With news of Porsha Williams possibly not returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 4, fans are patiently waiting for her new reality series. The series is reportedly going to be based around her activism, family life and possibly her relationship with fiancé Simon Guobadia who was formerly married to co-star Falynn Pina.
A producer of the series recently spoke to Bravo’s Chat Room during an appearance back on Aug. 22 teasing the series, “I don’t know if you guys are ready for this show. But I think, you know, we stepped in when Porsha was at a crossroads in her life. I think it was a pivotal moment before her and her family.”
Porsha’s family isn’t shy about telling things like they believe them to be. Her mom Diane and sister Lauren, who will be featured on the spinoff, have also been pillars and fan favorites on RHOA. “And, you know, a lot of families, they sweep things under the rug, and they don’t want to address issues that are in front of them,” Brangert added. “And Porsha and her family hit all the uncomfortable topics head-on, and they did it directly.”
This caused extreme discomfort on a family trip. “And as much as the trip was supposed to be zen, it was, uh, not,” he said. “But you’ll definitely want to stay tuned for that one.”
Porsha said that her family will face head-on “the real shit.” Adding, “It was like some stuff that you go through in your own family. Like, if you can imagine someone you haven’t spoke to or things you haven’t said, and you actually say them and deal with all that emotion, that’s pretty much what that is.”
The eight-episode series is expected to be premiering this Fall.
