In the last few years, budding Compton rapper BoogieFrmDa8 has exploded on the music scene, fueling a growing hype amongst his fanbase through the release of popular tracks such as “Tuff Talk” and “No Pictures.”
Today, the young rapper is back with an upcoming track titled “Don’t Take it Personal,” which combines Boogie’s signature authentic storytelling with a bold message behind the lyrics. In a transparent effort, Boogie unfolds a Tupac-like cadence where he passionately narrates sentimental moments of his life such as his uncle passing on untimely, to his homies not running from the police, to building his way up with no han-outs – Boogie ruminates on the record.
“This song is a reminder that a lot of people will fall off,” BoogieFrmDa8 says. “Everyone you think f–ks with you really doesn’t, unless they want something,” Boogie shared. “I’ve learned there will be times I gotta walk solo. I’m learning that people who don’t appreciate you for having your own mind are suckas, and I don’t need to be near them.”
“Don’t Take It Personal” just dropped and is inspired by Boogie’s lifestyle, militant ways of moving, and character, according to the rapper.
With its release, fans can also expect several creative projects to debut in the coming months, including “more music videos, my movie In Da Hood, which drops this summer, a collaboration with a female artist, and other sounds,” according to Boogie. Prior to this song coming out, he also landed a spot on Baby Stone Gorilla’s album and is featured on the track “5:05.”
BoogieFrmDa8 is not letting up any time soon and it’s clear to see in his work ethic.
