Bobby Shmurda could be coming home sooner than we think. The rapper celebrated his 26th birthday as fans began to speculate he could be released from prison, awaiting a parole hearing, which was supposed to take place on August 4th. Unfortunately, his mother, Leslie Pollard, confirmed with The Shade Room that Shmurda did have an upcoming parole board meeting; it would not happen on his birthday.
“The parole hearing is scheduled for August 18th. We [are] very confident that things will go well, and as always, we know God will see us through, he always does,” she stated.
According to Bobby Shmurda’s website and a posted countdown to his release, which we later found out the site was fake. The owner’s of the site “www.bobbyshmurda.com” explain on their homepage –“We did it as a joke because we are fans of bobby and when it got viral we felt like we had to mention Leepse, the dating & friendships app we’ve been working on for a year.”
Regardless of the miscommunication, Bobby Shmurda’s parole hearing will be August 18. In the meantime, we could be expecting the rapper to release new music with Epic Records.
