After nearly 30 years in the game, Birdman is gearing up for retirement. But before he makes his departure, he wants to drop one more album with Cash Money bred superstar, Lil Wayne.

During his recent appearance on Young Money Radio, which came as a shock to some considering their past legal issues, which include the music mogul settling a lawsuit with Wayne in 2018, the 51-year-old confirmed that he wanted to go out with a bang.

“I would like to do a Like Father, Like Son Two,” Birdman announced, which was met with Wayne immediately agreeing to do the sequel of their 2006 joint album.

“Man, come on. You ain’t got to ask. Come on, man, that was not a question,” Weezy said before assuring the Cash Money founder that he would be sending him over some music. “Man, come on, man. You know I’m going to send you six joints for you to put the verses to them. You know how I do, man.”

“Real round, that was me. You know I’m done rapping,” Birdman said of his pending retirement. “Rapping ain’t for me no more, I’m done with that shit. I like to make rappers, that’s what I do.” He went on to say, “So, I just want it to be my little farewell thing. I want to go out how I came in,” to which Wayne added, “Say less.”

And there you have it. Birdman and Wayne are back to the basics.
