This has not been a great week in Texas. Benny The Butcher is the latest rapper to encounter a gunshot wound this week. This time, the altercation took place outside of a Houston Walmart, which sounded like an attempted robbery.

According to TMZ, Houston police officers told the publication that Butcher was in town on Saturday and went to a local Walmart with a couple of friends. While they were sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot, five guys pulled up next to them and pointed their guns at them, requesting them to give up their chains.

Benny and his friends were moving a little too slow for the alleged muggers and officers stated one of the guys opened fire into Benny’s leg, which made the robbers leave the scene. TMZ was also told that Benny and his company also left the scenery as well, but eventually pulled over to call the police.

Currently, Benny was taken to a local hospital for his treatments, his condition remains unknown at this time. The men who tried to rob him are still on the run and cops are investigating the crime.

This isn’t the first time an artist has been shot below the belt this week. Boosie Badazz was shot in his leg in Dallas just a few hours away on the same day. However, the Louisiana rapper will be fine.
