Over the weekend, fans became increasingly worried about rapper Azealia Banks who posted suicidal messages on her social media. Now, Banks has spoken out to put everyone’s mind at ease.
Banks uploaded a selfie to her Instagram, with the caption, “I’m fine better than I was before.”
That is a far cry from her state of mind on Saturday when she wrote, “Yea, I think I’m done here. This pandemic, extreme lack of social interaction, no intimacy, combined with constant public ridicule is making life harder than it’s worth… I think I will end my tenure here on earth soon.”
The 29-year-old doubled down on her feelings, explaining that “I’m not begging for attention or asking for sympathy/empathy…. I’m just ready to go” before adding, “I will document my last times and release a film for you all to finally understand me, from my perspective. My soul is tired.” In a follow-up video, she even mentioned voluntary euthanasia options since she “doesn’t have any more defense.”
Hopefully Banks is surrounded by love and positive energy.
