The pop-culture wave and demand of social media, mixed with DIY streaming platforms such as Spotify, and Soundcloud has changed the course of the music industry indefinitely. These days if an artist has a strong fan base, dope producer / engineer, and consistent work ethic for their artistry, the result of their success is endless. Atlanta native William Vance is a rapper / songwriter who is in that percentage of new wave artists. A highly creative visionary and Hip-Hop lover, the amount of talent coming out of his mind is extraordinary. His debut album ‘Truth be Told’ includes 8 solid tracks that tell a full story from the mind of the artist start to finish.
“Got to keep going and stay assertive.”
To understand William Vance as an artist, you would need to take a step back into his earlier days of childhood. At a young age he was enrolled into piano lessons as well as sung in the choir, so music was instilled into him growing up. In just the 5th grade he made the decision to join the band after being inspired by seeing Nick Cannon star in the legendary film ‘Drumline’. Picking up quite a track record in the art of music, William Vance learned to play the Saxophone, was being mentored by Barrett D. Alexander and performed in several music events and festivals. To say the least he is an all-around artist skilled in not only Hip-Hop but various forms of concert band and beyond. He also taught himself Logic X Pro and can produce his own beats and compositions. This all-around talent has the look, the education of sound, and especially the BARS that is going to carry him far in the industry. With a melodic flow and harmony cadence, his musical style is a mixture of the sing-rap trend, with a twist of a unique delivery!
Now with a focused mind-set on what he wants to accomplish in life, the A-Town native is 100% sure he does not want to work for anyone but himself and is putting in the necessary footwork to grow his brand and fan-base. With a team of supporters behind him, there were countless long nights in the studio, listening sessions, and everyone dissecting each song completely, to put the best tracks on the project with the perfect sound and quality he wanted for the album.
