Ever since the rise of Washington artists like Pop Smoke and Lil Tjay, New York has been spawning a plethora of hip-hop talents looking to lead the new school. Amongst the growing list, Aspenk9repro is looking to heir the throne. The 18-year-old artist has been gaining ground quickly, utilizing a self-created and unique sound. Nowhere is that sound better exemplified than in his new single “Broken girl.” It’s his first single since “Your lost,” which dropped months back.
The smooth, sultry release is produced by Hitslappa, another creative emerging from the area. Clocking in at just under three minutes, Aspen offers up classic smooth vocals, catchy melodies, and heartfelt lyrics. The single tells a vivid story about how meeting a girl helped Aspen turn a destructive path into something better. He later then goes on and explains all the good features about this new girl and how she helped him. Check out the single below.
