Rapper 21 Savage surprised Atlanta families with Christmas gifts, in celebration of the holiday season.
The 28- year-old rapper surprised 30 kids from the Wade Walker Park Family YMCA in Dekalb County Ga, by delivering gifts from the children’s Christmas lists.
Executive Director at the Wade Walker Park Family YMCA “Lorna Loh”, released a statement saying,
“Last week the kids were asked to write letters to Santa with their wish lists. Unbeknownst to the kiddos and their families the YMCA staff went on a shopping spree and bought everything on their lists courtesy of 21 Savage and the foundation.”
21 Savage also provided parents of the 30 children with 12- pound turkeys and trimmings, to top off a memorable Christmas for the families.
Savage is known for showing love through his charity work, from the
“21 Savage Bank Account Campaign.” A charity that teaches children how to save, make, and manage money as well as how to open up bank accounts. The rapper gifted $1,000 to 21 teenagers to help each open a personal bank account.
To the annual Issa Back 2 School Drive in Decatur, Georgia launched by 21-Savage in partnership with Chime, Juma.org, Black Voters Matter, and M.O.B.B. (March On Ballot Boxes)This year marked the 5th year of supporting students in the community with free wifi, laptops, and backpacks, school supplies, financial literacy information and face masks.
Attendees over 18 were also given the opportunity to register to vote through Black Voters Matter Fund.
