TMZ has reported that upcoming star Pop Smoke was murdered inside of his Los Angeles on Wednesday morning.
Around 4:30 A.M. the 20-year-old was inside his Hollywood Hills home when authorities say two gunmen in masks and hoodies forced their way in. At some point, the men fired multiple shots, striking the rapper. The unknown assailants were seen fleeing on foot. It is unknown at this time if Pop knew the shooters.
Pop Smoke, who’s real name is Bashar Barakah Jackson, was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood where he was pronounced dead.
The Brooklyn drill rapper is most known for his 2019 hit single “Welcome to the Party,” from his debut project, ‘Meet the Woo.’ The track caught the attention of Nicki Minaj who remixed the track, which only furthered the success of the record. This month, he released his official debut album, ‘Meet The Woo Vol. 2’ which features collabs with Quavo, Gunna and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
Rest In Peace to The Woo.
