Justice has been served! Two men have just been charged Monday (Aug 17.) with the killing of rap pioneer Jam Master Jay, nearly 20 years after the RUN-DMC DJ was shot dead in his Queens music studio.

The men charged with murder are Ronald “Tinard” Washington and Karl Jordan Jr who stormed into the Queens studio on Oct. 30, 2002, ordering people to the ground at gunpoint and fatally shooting the 37-year-old Jay, whose real name was Jason Mizell, The federal authorities have finally indicted the two men after they have been longtime suspects for the murder.
It’s still not clear the two men’s motive behind killing the Hip Hop Pioneer . There was a beef — it didn’t go as planned,” one official said.Federal prosecutors in Brooklyn plan to discuss the case at 2:30 p.m. in a news conference.
Mr. Washington, 56, is currently serving a federal prison sentence for robbery. Mr. Jordan, 36, was taken into custody on Sunday and previously had gone to prison for shooting Mr. Mizell’s nephew.
Jam Master Jay left behind a wife and three children.
