While most high schools were forced to cancel high school graduations due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, one very lucky high school got a very special graduation ceremony courtesy of rapper 2 Chainz.
On Monday, North Clayton High School located in College Park, Georgia welcomed graduates who drove their cars through the parking lot to receive their diplomas. 2 Chainz delivered the commencement speech in the parking lot alongside faculty of his former high school. Balloons spelled out “Congrats” over the blue stage where 2 Chainz presented in front of.
“Congratulations to everybody that’s not walking but riding through today. There’s a lot going on in the world,” said 2 Chainz. He also gave a special shoutout to the single mothers saying, “I just want to let you know you got somebody that believes in you, someone that is showing support as you go into this crazy world, all this COVID stuff and racism, know that somebody still loves you, know that somebody’s willing to give back.”
The ceremony was put together in collaboration with the rapper’s TRU Foundation.
