In anticipation of his highly anticipated upcoming album ADHD, Joyner Lucas dropped his latest video “Will,” which pays homage to one of Hollywood’s most successful men.
The four-minute video pays tribute to Will’s Smith, recreating some of his most iconic roles. The Massachusetts rapper begins with his depiction of Will in his 90’s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air before switching gears, portraying Mike Lowrey, Will’s Bad Boys character. The rapper then changes into the infamous black suit for Men in Black before getting cowboy fresh for the Wild Wild West portrayal.
Lucas also creatively tackled other famous Will Smith roles including I, Robot, The Pursuit of Happyness, I Am Legend, Concussion, Aladdin, and even Smith’s animated character Oscar from Shark Tale with effortless transition between each character.
For the closing act, Lucas morphs into his famous idol, saying “Thank you for helping me build my wall.”
In just a day since it’s release, the video has attracted over one million views, with one of those being from the concept’s inspiration.
“Dude, I am humbled and honored,” he said. “I just love what you’ve done, it’s creative. This video is ridiculous.” Will Smith said in a video address to Lucas.
ADHD will hit streaming platforms this Friday. In the meantime, take a look at Joyner Lucas tackling several of Will’s most famous roles.
