Timbaland Reveals How He Dropped Over 130 Pounds And Kicked Opiod Addiction

Hip-Hop producer Timbaland is living his best and healthiest life, revealing to Men’s Health Magazine that he has lost over 130 pounds, in addition to overcoming a painkiller addiction.
The 47-year-old was motivated by a prediabetes diagnosis after his weight skyrocketed following a divorce in 2013 and stress due to IRS troubles. He knew that it was time for a change.

“I had a dream that death was near,” he recalls. “I saw myself with a white face.” he revealed to the magazine.

He credits his girlfriend, Michelle Dennis, with turning him on to working out. She initially introduced him to Punch Elite Fitness in Miami. It was there that he learned to box and soon joined the gym, sticking to a strict twice a day workout regimine. He says he also began to incorporate chicken, salmon and veggies into his diet, as well as drinking up to three-and-a-half liters of water each day.

Timbaland also opened up opioid addiction that began when he was prescribed OxyContin and Percocet following a root canal. A divorce, as well as IRS troubles kept the addiction going, allowing him to numb the pain.

“It put me in a great feeling of not caring, of just being free. I’m like traveling, doing shows, popping ’em, having fun, just being ignorant.”
He ultimately quit cold turkey, citing God and his family for being his motivation to kick his habit.

“The only things that got me through it were my kids, my girl, the help of God keeping my mind still.”

Take a look at Timbaland’s jaw dropping transformation.
