Dustin Diamond better known as “Screech” from the popular hit television series ‘Saved by the Bell,’ has been diagnosed and hospitalized with stage 4 cancer. According to Diamond’s rep, his condition is serious and he is currently undergoing further testing in Florida at an undisclosed hospital. There is no word yet of the nature nor location of the cancer. The 44-year-old actor was reportedly taken to the hospital after not feeling well for a couple of days. Dustin was best known as Zach Morris dorky friend in the 90’s classic. Access Hollywood corespondent and former Saved by the Bell co-star Mario Lopez sent his prayers to Diamond.
Although the news of his diagnosis is heartbreaking, we remain positive that he’ll overcome this.
Saved by the Bell has made a comeback last year. The show has had a recent reboot that is currently airing on NBC’s Peacock. Although Diamond wasn’t involved in the reboot, much of the former cast were. The child star has faced some adversities throughout his career but none like this. He is also known for being slightly controversial after publishing a tell-all book that included hookups and insane allegations about his days on set of Saved by the Bell.
