On Tuesday, the Atlantic signee dropped “Fine By Time,” the first single from the 14 track “Still Flexin, Still Steppin.” He also dropped visual to go along with it, where he raps various scenes from inside of a house, behind the wheel of a car and outside of a shopping plaza. The Baton Rouge rapper is known for multiple drops each year. With a joint album with Boosie in the works as well as a new collab with Migos star, Offset, 2020 appears to be no exception.
This feels like an opportunistic time for the 20-year-old to grow as an artist, as he was officially released from probation early in December, despite the pleas of Baton Rouge prosecutors to have the rapper serve his full probation term. The early termination allowed him to move to Los Angeles, away from the city where he found himself in much trouble during his teen years.
