It’s been a little while since rapper and activist Lupe Fiasco put out an album. Now he has a shared EP titled ‘House’ with Kaelin Ellis. If you’re not familiar, Kaelin is a musical artist that sound leans more towards dance/electronic whereas Lupe is more hip hop. It’s interesting to see the two from different genres collaborate to bring us something so profound and dope.
The EP has a surprise guest that you all my recognize by the name of Virgil Abloh. Virgil is the executive officer of luxury label Off White. He’s featured on the track “HOMME MADE” which is the EP’s opener. The EP has a total of five tracks. The music isn’t the only thing that has some depth to it but the artwork as well. Lupe’s late friend Sky who recently passed from the coronavirus is included in the cover art. He made sure to commemorate his dear friend in the liner notes. Sky’s dad Peter Gellatly is responsible for the cover art.
If I know anything about Lupe is that he will bring us something to not only think about but make sure to spit some fire over top of a crazy old school beat.
