Music-Based Drama ‘Nicky & I’ by Blackway & In the Wee Hours Slated To Shoot In November

Award-winning production company In the Wee Hours set to produce short film, Nicky & I, from Grammy-Nominated Artist Blackway; known for the gold record “What’s Up Danger” from Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Nicky & I is a story of a young, black girl growing up in an adoptive home trying to navigate as a hip-hop producer and engineer. The story goes through the gritty streets of the NYC strip club scene and back to the racial tension in the streets of Long Island.
The film focuses on transracial adoption while highlighting the lack of women in the music industry, specifically the hip-hop industry. The story is unapologetically honest, yet heartwarming. Princess Adenike (Ray Donovan) is set to star as Nicky.
Rapper & actress Jennaske will stars as Shanique. Laura Clifton (Happy Death Day) as Anne, TravQue (Swag Inc) as James, Meinhard St. John (Where the Windmills Are) as Will, newcomers Tom D’Agustino and Elliot Lee Cowart have joined the cast.
Dan Hertzog (In the Wee Hours) is set to shoot and direct, Ganna Hertzog (In the WeeHours) will be producing. Blackway & Renata Pastuszak will executive produce.
