Bankroll Got It is a producer duo based in Los Angeles. The two have worked with a plethora of artists this year alone and were responsible for certified bangers with Meg The Stallion, Coi Leray, Rae Sremmurd, Danileigh, Drakeo The Ruler, and many more.
A couple of notable hits are Mulatto’s “Bitch from Da South” and Kalan.FrFr’s “Scorin.” They also recently produced Drakeo The Ruler’s “Tear The Club Up,” and ppcocaine’s “S.L.U.T.,” all of which have garnered millions of views already on YouTube.
Having just started producing music in the game and opening up a studio not too long ago, Bankroll Got It has already seen huge success with their records. Their recent opening of their studio in Los Angeles has played a role in that success, they said.
“We built our studio like a Miami nightclub and will bring artists to us,” Bankroll Got It said. “The vibe is dope and matches the type of records we make.”
Bankroll Got It is made up of brothers Joel and Taylor Banks, who are actually Bay Area natives despite what people may assume otherwise. They’re known for their distinct heavy 808 sounds and catchy, hard-hitting beats that make audiences typically assume they’re from Atlanta. However, while their sound has now carried through speakers on a national basis, the producer duo detailed that they’ve been grinding and making music since before they were even able to drive.
“We stacked a few placements and our sound started to gain traction with Mulatto “Bitch from Da Souf” and Lil Gotit “Da Real Hoodbabies,” Taylor Banks explained. “A lot more opportunities started coming our way and we started to make a little bit of money.”
From the time they were in middle school, the duo would make beats on their ‘Mario Paint’ on Super Nintendo, and as time progressed, so did their software. By high school, they were using Fruity Loops, which is an earlier version of the FL studio. It’s evident that the pair has a lot of heart and passion, and it is evident in their work ethic and how they have been able to stay making beats the past few decades.
The duo has been securing their spot, becoming a household name, working with high-profile artists such as DaBaby, Mulatto, Lil Mosey, Polo G, Lil Baby, Rubi Rose, 21 Savage, A$AP Ferg, Tay Money, Stunna4Vegas, and LightskinKeisha.
In a recent interview, the pair talked about what goals they want to accomplish in the future for themselves. Most notably, they want to be the next household name in regards to hip-hop. The brothers have stated they want to be the next icon like “Mustard, Murda, Wheezy” or even Dr. Dre and The Neptunes.
“Music is so impactful and powerful and is such a big part of most people’s lives,” they said. “Hearing a song you produce on the radio or in the club is such a crazy feeling. To watch people react and go crazy to a record and just be happy in that moment is special.”
The duo is only just getting started. Bankroll Got It has many collaborations coming this year and they’re not letting up. Keep up with them on Instagram @bankrollgotit and also stream their Spotify playlist below that’s complete with some of their recent hits.
