MC David J Delivers Slow Jam Titled “OH GEORGIA”
Atlanta rapper MC David J has been on the rise ever since his streaming debut back in 2016. The upcoming MC was active most of 2020 with a couple of singles and a full-length project. So far in 2021, MC David J has taken a different approach, recently releasing a 7 song EP titled “GO MAD.”
Lasting about 20 minutes in listening time, “GO MAD” offers a wide variety of unique vibes spanning from up-tempo tracks like “INSANE” to slower, more melodic jams like “OH GEORGIA.” “OH GEORGIA” is a standout track among the others because of the interesting aspects of sound in the song.
The track starts with melodic pads, setting the mood for a slow jam. MC David J effortlessly glides across the beat with clever rhymes and wordplay. The track is held together by a soft melodic chorus. Just as the name suggests in the title, the track is an ode to the Georgia-based artist’s homeland. The vibe is encapsulated inside.
