By Kim Coco

Introduce yourself to our readers! Let them know your name, where you’re from & the name of the project you’re about to drop!

I’m Lil Agz, the hottest young rapper from the Bronx, NY. My upcoming EP is called “You Kno My Body Vol. 1”.

Lil AGz– You’re about to drop your EP at the end of the year entitled – You Kno My Body Vol. 1. It hasn’t even been released and already the industry talking. Lil AGZ, tell the Hip Hop Weekly readers what we can expect from the vibe of your EP? Can we expect any features on this project with you?

I think this EP is going to surprise a lot of people. The people that just discovered me recently or the people that have been following me for a while will know how serious I am about this music after this drops. I have like 7 tracks I’m going to put on it. I have different sounds on there but they’re all beats that I picked out. People will see how versatile I am as an artist and how much work I’ve put in behind the scenes to get better since the first time they heard me. Some people may get caught up in the memes and think that’s all that I’m about. I’m happy to say I can make people laugh and smile, but the music is my passion. I have features with King Combs, Yxng Ka, Dex Lauper, Gullypabs, Jayham & more, You’ll just have to tune in because I don’t want to spoil the tape, respectfully.

Who helped you put You Know My Body Vol. 1 together? Plug in the team that helped you.

Shoutout to my team Switch The Game Up: H Frost, Z, Stylez, and Knockout. Shoutout to my mentor/engineer Reem Dollarz who engineered most of my EP along with MixedbyTrilla. Shoutout to my video team. Also big shoutout to Studio Square Space in Long Island City.

This isn’t your first project. Drop the name of your other projects for our readers so they can check those out too!

Momma We Good :

Lit for Me:

Not a Regular Kid:

Lil AGz, you went viral after a video surfaced while you were sitting on a bench in a Bronx park talking about a girl where you say “OHHH SAYLESSS”. You are the originator of that term. Tell the readers who aren’t familiar, what exactly does that mean?!

Saylesss speaks for itself, respectfully. It’s like nothing else needs to be said. It’s like we’re on the same page and nothing needs to be explained. If a girl tells me she’s feeling me then it’s like “ohh saylesss”, no need to tell me anything else because I know everything I need to know.

Viral Moment:

Where did you get the name Lil AGz from? Did someone give it to you?

My big bro from my neighborhood was known as A, so he called me Lil A and that’s what everyone knew me as after that. The “Gz” part comes from my YGz family. Some people say it like “ags” but you’re supposed to say it separate like “Lil A+Gz”, pronounced (Lil A- Geez) respectfully.

Lil AGz, recently you and your team put together a Celebrity filled Red Carpet event called 50 Pairs of Kicks for the First 50 Kids as a way to give back to the kids in your city that are going back to school. You bought sneakers for all the kids who turned out to the event. Tell us about your event and what inspired you to organize it in the first place? It seems you are returning your blessings to the community.

It wasn’t that long ago when I only had 1 pair of sneakers to wear. I’ll never forget where I came from and I’m still connected to my neighborhood. I know what it’s like to not be able to get what you want and see everyone else get what they want. I’ve been gifted more sneakers than I imagined I would this year and I wanted to give kids the chance to feel the same way. My bro Yxng Ka is a big artist from Philly but he has the same mindset and wanted to give back too. GBNY is my family and they’ve played a huge part in my sneaker upgrade. Shoutout to them for matching the pairs that we paid for and giving even more kids a chance to get some drip.

50 Pairs of Kicks Event:

The turn out for your first 50 Pairs of Kicks event was incredible. You had some pretty amazing celebrity guests come out and support you. Tell the Hip Hop Weekly readers who turned out.

Thank you. I really appreciate that. That’s the first of many too. We definitely had a lot of love come out to support. Yxng Ka and I hosted the event at GBNY in Jamaica, Queens, but huge shoutout to Fetty Luciano, Johnny Nunez, ItsBizkitt , DJ Drewski from Hot 97, HipHopMike, Reem Dollarz, Jayham, and Da Big Picture from WorldStarHipHop. Also could never forget my big bro Dex Lauper for popping out and buying pairs for kids that weren’t able to get there early.

Lil AGz, you often say “Momma We Good”. Now, I know you don’t speak much on your personal life and growing up in the Bronx but – I have to ask. What does your momma think of all this and her baby boy today? And what does your mom mean to you?

When my mom first heard “Momma We Good” it made her cry. She never saw this coming because she never knew how serious I was about music since me going viral was all a surprise to her. She’s always worried about me when I’m outside but she’s proud to see the work I’m putting in. She knows I’m safe when I’m with my managers and that I’m grinding for our future. She makes sure I’m staying on top of my schoolwork but respects my hustle and sees that I have a real chance to make a difference in our lives. She means everything to me and her support is what keeps me going. I don’t like talking about my personal life like that but people will be able to find out more through my music.

Momma We Good :

Lil AGz, Tell us 3 fun facts about you that we would NEVER know otherwise.

1. I like watching Kung Fu movies like IP Man and The Raid.

2. I drink healthy smoothies everyday.

3. I like playing dice. And I’m nice for real, better than a lot of grown men, respectfully.

You’re standing in front of 2 doors. The door to the left goes to your Past. The door to the right goes to your Future. You have one key and 24 hours behind either door. Which door are you opening and why?

Hmmm. I’m taking the door to the right because I want to see my future and what I’m doing and how I’m living. I don’t need to go to the past because that’s what made me who I am and I wouldn’t change anything.

Name one thing you think that even with all the riches and fame in the world that money will still never buy:

You have a really supportive and tight team. Plug in your team!

That’s a fact. I look at my team as my family. H Frost and Z are like big brothers but father figures at the same time. They always say they’re giving me a head start with all of the knowledge that they give me. It’s deeper than what people see on the internet. I’m really grateful for everyone in my corner. I wouldn’t be who I am today without their help and guidance. I’m blessed to have good people like that in my life. It helps my mom feel more comfortable with me chasing this dream.

The team:
