Prayers up for Karl-Anthony Towns. The Dominican-American professional basketball player confirmed he has tested positive for Covid-19. This comes shortly after several of his family members have tested positive for the virus. Towns mother, who was one of the members diagnosed with the fast spreading virus died last year from it. On Friday, the NBA player made the announcement right before his game between the Memphis Grizzlies. The Timberwolves center has been through the unbelievable these past months.
Towns took to social media to let his fans know what he is currently going through.
“Prior to tonight’s game, I received yet another awful call that I tested positive for COVID. I Pray every day that this nightmare of a virus will subside.”
Towns continues with a message for us all.
“I beg everyone to continue to take it seriously by taking all of the necessary precautions. We cannot stop the spread of this virus alone, it must be a group effort by all of us.”
Girlfriend Jordyn kindly asked her fans to pray for Karl in this time of uncertainty. The two have been dating publicly since September of 2020 and have been going strong. Woods also shared her thoughts and prayers regarding the situation on her social media through Twitter.
