HHW:When you started managing artists, how has your life changed?
JC: Passion. Passion is the reason I got into the music industry. This passion has driven me to all the right business ventures. Once I am passionate about a project, it changes my life because of the resources and long-lasting connections that are developed.
HHW: How do you think the COVID-19 pandemic altered the music industry?
JC: When this pandemic broke out, I would have never thought I would contract the virus. I did. From my point of view, the virus put a lot of work on hold for the music industry, but it also helped in a creative way. It forced the artist and their teams to be creative. It also gave more fans the chance to be exposed to more artists from sitting home and tuning into all social media platforms. As for my team, they were very creative, and grew our platform while I recovered.
HHW: What current projects are you working on that we can expect in the future?
JC: With Fenatiq Music being more of a distribution label, we have many artists with release dates. Our two biggest artists are “Pilly Mae” and DJEFX. Both artists will be dropping major heat late October. Follow @Pilly Mae and @IamDJEFX on all social media platforms to stay tuned to greatness in the making.
HHW: What would you tell upcoming artists trying to make it in the music industry?
JC: Stay consistent, make as much music all the time, and the market it.
