HHW: For those who aren’t familiar, who is Buggzy Hoffa?

Buggzy: Who is Buggzy Hoffa? Well, he’s “the Wild man of Borneo,” The International Cashbah Rocker, Young Jet Fuel abuser, ol Wizard sleeve Slayer , Capo di tutti capi of The Black Diamond Mafia or simply The last Humble son of Brooklyn. I hope that may clear it up for those that didnt have an idea.

HHW: When did you first fall in love with music, and how long have you been actively pursuing your dreams of becoming a music artist?

Buggzy: I didn’t really fall into my musical place until High School. I got my hands on a Wu-tang album The W and something just clicked. My father was a DJ, so I didn’t respond much at first in my earlier years to music the same way I had more of a disdain. I was aware and knew the big acts. I just wasn’t a participant, but that W album changed me quick. Before long I had albums ranging from various hip-hop to techno, alternative; you name it.

HHW: What differentiates you from other artists?

Buggzy: For one its a love hate for me, I started not liking music to enjoying every aspect of it. I read a lot of backstories of those that commit to this industry loved it early. I’m the odd man out with that. I could have capitalized early with my father being a DJ. So unlike many before me I had to learn to love music.

HHW: Are there any artists currently or before you that musically inspire you? If so, who and why?

Buggzy: Before Wu-Tang, Ghost Face especially , LL Cool J, Jay-z, it really looked like they were having fun. Ghostface style stands out he had such freedom with his words, Jay had this ability to just paint pictures. LL could be a tough guy and a ladies man all rolled into one. So many different directionsI couldn’t help but feel inspired.

HHW: What motivates Buggzy both, in and out of the booth?

Buggzy: Life experiences , I make it a habit to travel often, gives me lots of time to explore learn new things. it creatively recharges me each time also give me new nuances to play with. I get hyped off trying new things eating new foods. If I stay still too long I get demotivated.

HHW: What are three things about you that would shock the public?

Buggzy: I don’t take myself as serious as many people would think from the outside looking in. I’m a big Goofball, Anime and Comic lover too. Really big actually. I’m a big kid at heart 100% outside of work and maybe 60% during work hahahaha.

HHW: What do you feel you contribute to the culture as an artist, and what would you add to the industry?

Buggzy: With my group I feel we are ushering in the importance of entertaining. again. I often preach that we are entertainers as much as we are artist.  I find a stemming problem in Hip-Hop that I find hurts the culture growing forward. We tend to enforce too much fiction into real life or just plain negative aspects into the real world persona. No other genre has a strict requirement of being a hard boiled killer , drug overload etc. Than hip hop.  Keep it entertainment

HHW: How do you balance your career with your home life? Family?

Buggzy: I use to have balance , now I’m 100% all about getting as much work done as possible. Personal time can come later. I streamline everything into career mode now. Family friends all of it has to fit into the end game.

HHW: So what’s next for Buggzy musically? 2020 Goals?

Buggzy: Look out for the BDM mixtape im working on with DJ Don Demarco,  current single ” Fire Hose ” is out now gaining some radio play. I’m also working on my own solo project so keep an eye out.

HHW: How can promoters looking to book you get in contact with you?
