J. Cole could be putting down the pen and lacing up his shoes on the court with the Detroit Pistons.
The basketball team publicly offered the Lewis Street rapper on Twitter, “@JColeNC we see you out here. You said they only got 12 slots on the Pistons. Hit us up for that tryout. This is for all the dreamers @bleacherreport #Dreamville.”
J. Cole was offered an invitation shortly after Master P expressed that Cole could be training for the league after he asked the Louisiana rapper what he would suggest doing to make that switch from music to sports. If you can recall, Master P signed two separate NBA contracts in the late 1990s. However, he shared with Cole, “…this a different time we’re in. They’re going to pick you apart! You’re going to have to be able to hit every shot, and if you don’t hit every shot, they — you know in the NBA, they don’t hit every shot, but they believe in them. So, you’re going to have to go somewhere where the team believes in you, and the players believe in you.”
