Da Baby drops his very first track of the year called “Masterpiece.” He uses this single to explain his side of the story regarding the shooting of 19-year-old Jalyn Craig. The shooting took place at a Walmart in North Carolina back in 2018. Da Baby was convicted of carrying a concealed weapon.  

“They just told me that somebody died / But it don’t bother me, that’s a G thing / No, it don’t bother me, it’s the G way,” raps Da Baby. He continues “I don’t know what went down at that Walmart / I don’t know what happened on that freeway.” 

Trouble seems to be on the North Carolina rapper’s side. Da Baby was recently arrested in Beverly Hills, after a gun was found in his car. 

In good news, it seems that Da Baby has some music on the way with Lil Wayne. Early January, he posted a series of pictures on Instagram with the Louisiana rapper. He captioned it “Best Rappers alive.”
