What’s up everybody! It’s Busy B Love out of Buffalo, NY. I just dropped my latest single ROCKSTAR. It’s the latest song off my new album, VersaStyle which is dropping 10/13/2020. Rockstar is available everywhere. Out now on all Platforms so make sure you go check that out.

Busy B, ROCKSTAR off the VersaStyle album is going VIRAL! Tell the readers why you picked that as your first single. You knew it was a winner I assume?

Yeah, ROCKSTAR is just different. I knew going in it was different. There is a vibe and energy. It’s definitely one of my best songs on the album and one of my favorites to date. I put a lot of work into this one. It’s one of my favorite songs that I’ve dropped so far. I wrote it before I got to the studio but when I went to the studio to record it, it really set the tone. It was a whole different level. So I wrote it before hand when I heard the beat. When I got in to the studio that day and recorded it, I knew it was my favorite track on the whole project. I knew this song was going to be one of my best songs. The day I dropped it, it got the most downloads, the best numbers out of all my songs to date. The fans seem to love it too because it’s gone viral. That’s what we needed. We started the album off right.

What’s the inspiration behind ROCKSTAR? Is there a subliminal meaning behind this record?

I‘ve been doing whatever I feel like as an artist lately. Creatively. I kind of just started looking at life a lot differently and as an artist I’m more comfortable in my style of music and sound. I’m trying to create my own lane and ROCKSTAR is the song that shows my growth and is my way of saying “I’m here”. There are a lot of great artists in Buffalo and everyone deserves to win. There’s enough shine for all of us. But – I’m the underdog. I don’t get the same recognition as a lot of other artists do and I have to work 10 times harder for my spot out here. I have dropped 3 projects in 6 months and I’m trying to stay consistent so people see me and so they hear me. I’m not slowing down either. 3 projects in 6 months. I dropped my first project in June- Love is Pain , then Slime Love and remember I’m only doing this for a year. I plan on dropping projects back to back to back and staying on the map.

Who produced your album VersaStyle and Rockstar? Tell the readers what and who can we expect to hear on this one?

The team went hard with this album. I have a new producer actually. He’s a Cali based producer Dre –Just Dre Productions. My Boy Nephh , he’s an artist too and linked me with Dre.

Dre is the owner of a new studio in Buffalo called Mix House Recordings. Dre is honestly what Buffalo needed. He has the best equipment and really is grinding for the artists out here in Buffalo.

Features on this album include: Big Skii Bop, K Pi$tol, Junior Boy, Flexxbaby from BSF and Young World from BSF. Both those songs have videos coming out. I have a female feature: Zara West and White So$a from Memphis Just DRE Productions: https://www.instagram.com/justdreproductionsx/?igshid=15qco6amy4u84

What’s the meaning behind this album name- VersaStyle?

Because the whole album IS versatile! I’m doing so many different things on this album. I have so many different genres and sounds that it’s unpredictable. I have rock stuff, pop, country, real hip hop stuff It’s a mix up, a collection of me with so many different styles and sounds. That’s the thing about me. I am not trying to be boxed in to one sound.

Busy why do you think Buffalo NY grinds so hard?

Being from Buffalo and such a small city, we don’t really have the resources to get heard like these other big cities do. We are the underdog. We don’t have the outlets and connections these other bigger cities have. Even though we are New York, you have to remember, we are Upstate New York. It’s almost like people forget about us. Look at NYC compared to Buffalo for example. We don’t have those same resources and outlets, and opportunities in front of us.

Benny (The Butcher), you know he is from Buffalo and is one of my favorite rappers. You already know that. He created Black Sopranos Family and is putting Buffalo on the map and putting the city on. Even though I’m a very different artist with a very different sound and style, Benny is opening up so many doors for the artists out here to be seen and heard in general. You know, now with Griselda blowing up, people are paying attention to us more. It’s bringing the buzz to our city. Everyone is out here grinding. When people mention New York artists, they never mention us in Buffalo for some reason. They are starting too though now. People have been sleeping on us but that’s ok- they are gonna wake up real soon!

Busy B, this isn’t your first project. Drop the names of those other projects so the readers can check those out too!

So Busy B – People are Buzzing about you because your sound and style is similar to that of Juice Wrld. How do you respond to that?

It’s actually an honor to even be brought up in the same conversation as Juice Wrld. You know he is a legend and the reason I love him as an artist is because he IS SO versatile. I am not trying to be Juice Wrld or come into his spot. I have my own sound and style but just like Juice Wrld, I am trying new things. I don’t want to stay in one zone. I’m trying to see what me fans love of me most. I can really do everything and I love creating and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. Like he did . I’m creating my lane and my own genre. I’m not trying to copy anyone. His grind and ability to do so many different things is something that I really am inspired by.

You just returned from LA. Can you tell the readers a bit about LA because you went for your music.

I went out to La to network and did that as much as I could while I was there. I plugged myself in for opportunities. I met with different people and handed out my music. I met with other artists. I didn’t have a fully plan when I got there but I knew that I was going to make the most of being there. I can’t give too much away but the trip was successful.

You have a really supportive team. Plug your team in.

We have Dre on production. My manager, we call him Suge White. He is my father. Bank Rolle Ry is like a brother to me and supports me since day one. My uncle Tony Denino and my uncle Joe are supportive. My girl has been behind me this whole time. My family, friends and the fans.

Not to put you on the spot but who do think is the best talent to come out of Buffalo?

Oh man. It’s Benny the Butcher. Not only does he not have a single bad verse but he has put the city on and on his way up he has taken his people with him. Even with all the fame he hasn’t let it affect him.

He’s being doing this for 10 years and JUST recently got to the level he did but his grind is what inspires me. He believed in himself to the fullest and never gave up. 10 years he waited. Sometimes it takes 10 years to become a success story but he believed in himself and look https://www.instagram.com/p/CA-phzxglNr/?utm_source=ig_embed
